My first word book!!

Here is my very first ever word book!!  It is not exactly how I wanted it, but it turned out OK.  It wasn't nearly as complicated as I thought it would be.  I haven't done one before, because I was a little intimidated, but no need!  Once I got flowing, it was so much fun!!  I designed it on my Gypsy, using Plantin Schoolbook, Heritage, George, Lyrical Letters and PDDU.  A little overkill, but it was my first one..lol.  It was a lot of fun to do.  I cut the book pages first out of miscellaneous chipboard that I have stored up, and then cut the papers, using the same file.  Exactly the same size!!  Who knew how easy it would be.  Of course, there is always some filing to be done for the rough spots, but I inked the edges with military blue, since it is for my niece, she is having a baby boy.  Thus, the word BABY on the first page, and KYZER, (the babies name) on the 2nd page.  I didn't really care for the rocking horse after it was done, but live and learn.  Thanks for looking!
PS.  It is not a great picture.  Sorry!  I didnt take one of the completed project.  I had my niece send one!

Another project

My Mom and Dad and their friends are going to Tennessee on a houseboat trip.  There are 11 people going, and they call it the "Fogey Fest".  They have been going for several years now, and someone usually brings something commemorative for them to keep each year.  This year was my Mom's idea, and she originally wanted to etch glasses for everyone with their name on them.  Then we went to Michael's.  Found these awesome koozies, that were plain, so we bought some vinyl, cut the names, and added "Fogey Fest 2010" to each one.  They are going in the middle of August and it will be soooooo hot in the south, so these should come in handy!  The pink are for the girls with brown vinyl words and the blue are for the boys with black vinyl letters.  Enjoy!

Look what I made!

I have been missing the scrapbooking and girls this summer, so I decided to start working on some projects. The note pads are shower gifts that I made for my nieces baby shower. This is a totally "scraplifted" project. My sister in law and her dear friend made these first for her daughter in laws' shower, and my Mom and I loved them so much, we decided to do it as well. I almost have my Mom hooked on scrappin'! She helped me with the first five, and then had to go back home, but she loved being creative, and we had a blast doing it! These are just 4 x 6 acrylic frames from Wallie world for $1, and added the paper and flowers, cut with the cricut. I have the gyspy file if you would like me to email it to you, I can. Just leave me a message on this post and I will send it. This is my very first post for any projects I have done. It took me a year to work up the courage! Thanks for looking!
